Here is a timeline of natural disasters as well as man-made disasters in Sweden:

August 5, 2008 – Strong winds and torrential downpours resulted in power loss in nearly 11,000 homes.  The normal rainfall for one month fell in one day…our God doeth all things well!  Expect more and worse to come Sweden!

January 14, 2007 - A powerful storm (Per) with hurricane winds ripped through the west coast of Sweden.  6 people died and 300,000 households were without electricity.

January 8, 2005 - A powerful storm (Erwin) with winds that were compared to a Category 1 hurricane killed at least 17 people.

December 2004 – Indian Ocean Tsunami 500 people died.  Scarcely a family in Sweden has been untouched by the devastation.

October 28, 1998 - Gothenburg Night Club Fire; in a discotheque in Gothenburg, Sweden 63 people killed; 200 were injured; all between the ages of 12 and 20. Jeremiah 9:21 For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.

December 27, 1991 - Scandinavian Airlines Flight 751, no one died but 25 were injured.
